Schizophrenia Support Group

This support group is for all people who live with a psychosis in their lives to include both peers and family members.

A weekly support group.

NAMI Connections

NAMI Connection is a weekly recovery support group for people living with mental illness in which people learn from each others’ experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement and understanding.

Fridays: 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Located at St. Vincent's Outpatient in Group Room A

PACS Peer
(Prescription Assistance Community Service)

This is a one-on-one resource referral and support for prescription assistance and other supports available by appointment.

  • Assistance with free and low-cost medication
  • Assistance with applying for benefits from state and federal government
  • Help navigating the mental health and physical health support
  • Building social and support networks

Bipolar / Depression Support Group
open to all family members

A weekly peer-lead support group.
Sundays: 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

S.M.A.R.T. Recovery
(Self Management And Recovery Training)

Two weekly support groups lead by students from Pacific University. SMART helps individuals gain independence from addictive behaviors (substances or activities).

Our Approach :

  • Teaches self-empowerment and self-reliance.
  • Works on addictions/compulsions as complex maladaptive behaviors with possible physiological factors.
  • Teaches tools and techniques for self-directed change.
  • Encourages individuals to recover and live satisfying lives.
  • Meetings are educational and include open discussions.
  • Advocates the appropriate use of prescribed medications and psychological treatments.
  • Evolves as scientific knowledge evolves.
  • Differs from Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and traditional 12-step programs.

Asperger's Support for Teens & Adults
Twice a month

The first meeting is a social type of event where people who are on the spectrum can share their interests with one another, enhance social skills, and form friendly relationships through one-to-one interaction.

2nd Saturday: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

The second meeting of the month runs as a support group which will address mental illness along with Asperger issues.

4th Saturday: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

   
   
 

   
Community Garden Steering Committee

In Our Own Voice (IOOV) is a unique public education program developed by NAMI, in which two trained consumer speakers share compelling personal stories about living with mental illness and achieving recovery.

IOOV is an opportunity for those who have struggled with mental illness to gain confidence and to share their individual experiences of recovery and transformation.

 
 
   
 

   
For the Health of It

Put your walking shoes on and join us. We'll share our personal wellness goals and learn from each other, then head out for a neighborhood walk, weather permitting. If it is raining, we'll participate in an indoor activity such as chair yoga or chair aerobics to get us moving.
